Connected in Pride Virtual Event
The YWCA-MC has joined Salinas Valley Pride Celebrations to support a Virtual Event, Connected in Pride. Saturday, August 1st between 12 PM and 3 PM online followed by an online dance party with DJ LUNA.
This event exemplifies the alliance we pledge to the LGBTQ+ Community. Join the event to show your support! Virtual attendance is the only way we can keep each other safe, so please, help us make this event a success. The Facebook event details can be found here. The event will feature a series of live and recorded events that celebrates the history, intersectionality, and shared connection within the LGBTQ+ community.
It’s all about pride and the YWCA-MC is a proud sponsor of the Connected in Pride virtual event. In addition to pride in our community, we are proud of those fighting for equality in every sense of the word as it is one of our core values. Seven leading LGBTQ+ organizations of Monterey County and Santa Cruz County joined us to support Connected in Pride. The community is strong and we need to keep the connection to each other in the forefront of our hearts as the struggles during the pandemic are extreme. Support each other by joining this event, it will help many people see some positivity in their lives.
While we dream of the day we can yet again show our pride in person, this virtual event is the next best thing to keep us connected in pride. So hang in there, wear your mask and we will see your beautiful face at the virtual event August 1st, Connected in Pride.
