With the Covid-19 crisis, it is of the utmost importance to have people in our community counted. The Census ensures Monterey County receives the funding it needs. #YWomenCount! Census 2020 drive is our way make sure everyone is counted fairly and accurately. YWCA-MC is a trusted voice in some of the most vulnerable communities and it is essential for our services to understand the roadmap of our Monterey County Community. The Census helps us back up grant requests with numbers. We want you to understand your answers guide our government distribution of aid to communities in need.

Coronavirus has taken front and center on the news, as it should. The suffering in our country is unfathomable and can be felt by everyone. It’s easy for the crisis to eclipse the 2020 Census but we are here to remind you of the importance to stand up and be counted. There are many ways to respond to the 2020 Census and we can’t help but feel for the people still expected to go door to door to count those at each address.
