Action Against Human Trafficking

action against Human Trafficking

Last month we safely participated in No Traffick Ahead, a collective of direct service organizations working to end human trafficking in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The meeting was also attended by three other agencies serving trafficking and victims in our region. Those agencies are the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center, Monarch Services and Walnut Avenue Womens center.  The local anti trafficking movement is strong.  Read about the adaptivity, resiliency and collaboration in the Rape Crisis Center's recent blog post, "United to Server Survivors of Human trafficking."

While YWCA-MC no longer has the ability to serve survivors of Human Trafficking, we remain passionate in doing what we can to stop this abhorrent practice. Human Trafficking often intersects Domestic Violence so we are able to provide help through that lens.

With enough donations, we might be able to resume providing services but for the time being, we will continue to educate the community.

If our mission to eliminate racism and empower women feels like something you can support, please donate today.
