Giving Tuesday, which non profit will you choose?

Giving Tuesday is a global movement to pay it forward by choosing a non profit or charity to support. This coincides with our biggest fundraiser, MC Gives! Where your donations are percentage matched. While we realize there are many organizations requesting your support, we hope you will choose to give a gift to YWCA Monterey County.

Every day we work hard to empower women struggling with abuse and/or human trafficking to start a new life path. Starting over is one of the hardest things we can go through. The thought of being homeless keeps many women and children in toxic, dangerous households.

YWCA-MC meets the challenge head on by giving women a safety net from homelessness providing shelter with wrap around services that include trauma informed mental health care, food bank, legal advocacy, and a multitude of programs for them to go from surviving to thriving.

Imagine giving a gift that shapes someone’s entire world. Where your gift provides children at our Safehouse fresh diapers and healthy food. Your gift can encourage someone back to a life where they are self-sufficient and where they are valued for the many life contributions they make. Our clients are strong, self-determined women who need a little bit of support at a time of crisis, enough to set them on the road to thriving. We can’t do it without community support and we hope you choose YWCA Monterey County for your non profit of choice. In the 2021 fiscal year through July 2021, 1565 clients AND their children were supported through community generosity. Help show that YWCA Monterey County’s programs to empower women and eliminate racism is valued in our community.
