This Summer, let's come together to make a difference in the lives of children in need.

As we embrace the upcoming summer season, I would like to bring your attention to the children we support at the YWCA Monterey County. For many of these children, traditional summer experiences such as trips to the seaside, visits to state parks, or even dining out at fast-food restaurants are far from their reach.

Families who are already stretched to the limits by minimum wage jobs or less find it difficult to take a day off, and the cost of even a fast-food meal can strain their tight budgets. Childcare, when available, may offer only basic safety oversight. The families living in our shelter are even more vulnerable, often lacking the ability to enjoy staycations due to the constant possibility of having to leave at a moment's notice.

I am reaching out to request your support for our Children’s Special Summer Fund. Your donation could make a substantial impact on the lives of these children. Your generosity will enable us to provide enriching experiences such as trips to the seaside, restaurant vouchers, and essential clothing for outdoor activities, creating positive and lasting memories for the children we provide support.
